Clarifying Content Ownership

Confused ownership of content causes internal issues.

Who Owns What?

It's a common issue. Support functions are the experts in their areas but the core business teams are empowered to utilise these support services as they see fit. This leads to many variants of similar processes and procedures where adopting a common, unified approach would make a lot more sense.

Organisational structure rendered as data and related to the IMS content.

Separate Content from Ownership

In our IMS model, your organisational structure including ownership and accountabilities are defined separately as an Accountability Framework dataset then linked to the IMS Content.

This means that organisational changes can be reflected by simple updates to a dataset rather than having to update documents when they don't need to materially change.

Clarifies the ownership so it's completely transparent as to who owns what in the IMS.

Consistency; Efficiency; Reliability

Ownership in our IMS model focuses on the subject matter of the content rather than those who may use the content. Clarifying content ownership makes locating content much simpler and mitigates the risk of producing unneeded derivatives of functional content.
